This is a recipe I found in the French Metro newspaper.
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 2 or 3 chicken breasts (we used three) cut into small 2 inch cubes
1. Mix the brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, ginger and garlic.
2. Add the chicken and refrigerate at least 4 hours (we let ours refrigerate overnight).
3. (The recipe calls for the chicken to be microwaved, but we baked ours in the oven instead. We also added some pineapple pieces.)
Verdict: This was very tasty. All the flavours worked really well together, there wasn’t one that stood out more than the others. I was a bit surprised that the chicken cubes weren’t really marinated all the way through despite how long we left them in the fridge.
